It sounds like critical mass cyclists in New York are having a tough time these days. Does anyone know the latest situation?

Any good suggestions for things to do in support of the cyclists, there and elsewhere?

- sympathy group ride in your hometown
- give a dollar to your local cycling lobby for every New York critical mass supporter apprehended (they are the ones who do all the ground work looking into ways your city can improve for cyclists, and actually working with government to make it happen)

A quick precis of the situation for those of us on t'other side o' the pond, Ryan?

I'm guessing a police crackdown right?

Sounds familiar:
