I have no idea what a "Lancer" is.
My guess is that its a derogatory term to describe pesky cyclist which are always in the way of cars and it relates to PED user Lance Armstrong.

I assumed it was a reference to my friend Lance. "In the way" is a matter of perspective. I have met those that think a cyclist should stop and move to the ditch line when a car approaches. There are selfish a-holes on both sides of the windshield.

I seem to do pretty well at avoiding harassment and close calls by wearing a simple primary or secondary colored jersey with black shorts and white socks, and riding like I know what I'm doing. It's kind of a "don't want a confrontation, but you'd better not f**k with me" attitude. It was even better before I started wearing helmets 22 years ago, but that's before I became a dad, so I'm not going there again.

Two weeks ago, Trek presented me with a Bontrager Flare RT taillight. On a couple of daytime road rides, under my butt, it was easy enough for me to ignore, but I had no idea what effect it was having on approaching traffic. It kind of screams, "Please don't kill me, Mr. Kind Motorist," which is really not the way I like to deal with people. It's now doing duty with the Ion headlight and Transmitr remote control on my commuter bike.
