Hi everyone, I was about to gat a Trek 7300 for city use mainly. A dealer told me the a suspension fork is not neccesary in the city, he said the wheels can manage and absorb tipycal impacts of the city, and recommend 7.3. I don´t know if he wants to sell this other bike which he has in the shop.

Whay do yoy think? is the suspension fork neccesary in a city?

Naw man, not for city riding! Unless you plan on riding over speed bumps, through potholes... often. I ride a road bike, and go through bits of sand, over small bumps in the road, and its not that bad. Mountain bike is even better at absorbing bumps because the tires aren't inflated at such a high pressure as road bikes.
