suunto t6 vs polar s510

due to fathers' day i need to find a present for daddy (that's me).

to be honest i don't need this but only want it. i never run unless
it's orienteering, ride a bike occasionally, play squash frequently.
i want to what really happened and the polar beat with HR display only
does not make it.

any comments about experience with these toys is very welcome.
as the polar is obsolete the price is attractive. how much more would the
suunto t6 be worth?

polar s510 gives me:
+ shoe sensor for distance analysis
* option for bike gadgets
+ 120 timeslots for HR 15s, 30s...
+ OwnIndex ~= VO2max
+ couch potato fitness test
? how about the sonic link?
? software?

suunto t6 has
* option for shoe sensor
* option for bike gadgets (available in 2005, they say)
+ altimeter
+ beat by beat measurement for "ages" at 2s
- hey, it is big
? is EPOC any good?
? software?

thanks!
