When I go to the state fair, or baseball games, there are
usually vendors selling sweet roasted almonds. They are
coated with some kind of sugar & cinnamon paste. Anyone have
any suggestions for how to make these at home?

have any suggestions for how to make these at home? This may not be *exactly* what you're looking for, but
they're very good. Try adding 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon to
the sugar.Candied Almonds
2 cups whole almonds (natural)
1/4 cup honey 2 tablespoons butter 1 cup turbinado sugar
(sugar in the raw)2. Spread almonds on a shallow baking sheet.
3. Place in cold oven and then set oven for 350 and roast
about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally (watch carefully!
they can burn suddenly).4. In a medium saucepan heat honey and butter over medium
heat until boiling.5. Turn down heat to medium low and simmer for 2 minutes
while stirring occasionally.6. Add almonds and simmer for another 2 minutes, stirring
occasionally.7. Transfer almonds with a slotted spoon onto a greased
baking sheet and spread into a single layer and let
cool slightly.8. In a bowl, toss almonds in sugar to coat.

for Thanksgiving...YUM! I toasted mine a bit longer to
make sure they have that nice crunch. I loved the
combination of spices and orange with the toasted almond
flavor. Next time I'll maybe spice it up a bit and add
curry or cayenne! Thanks!Quoted message said:

and cinnamon. Be careful when you bake them, they go from
toasted to burnt in rather a hurry, so stir them often.gloria p
