I'm kind of a a bike ***** -- I'll ride with anybody! Anybody, that is, that can take lots of pain
when I start the breakaway.

Wow, I knew Canada was primitive, but holy smokes! Thanks for the offer, but I'm on a diet and I
have to avoid fatty meats. Can we have falafel and babaganoush instead?

Uh, yeah. What he said.

If, when you scout out Vancouver, you want to do some riding, send me an e-mail. There's a wide
variety of good rides, both organized and non.

By the way, did I mention that Vancouver (well, adjacent suburb Burnaby) is home to the only indoor
velodrome on this continent? That's right: a winter track racing season. How cool is that?

Well, I don't want to ride alone. I hate that unless I'm just shopping or commuting.

Pretty darn cool. That gives me the perfect excuse to buy a track bike ....

I used to ride with a guy like that. Every time he stood up to sprint, he'd pull his bike back under
him about a foot, crashing or nearly crashing anyone riding his wheel.

Sprints? No, I'm a short-distance time trial specialist. Say, aabout 10 feet.

That makes your bike toss technique particularly important, no?

Well, it would if it weren't downhill.
