Is that single track as in single-lane road? Or single track as in off-road?

Sorry. Just saw the word "trails" in the subject. Not into off-road myself,
but my brother often heads up to Old Harry Rocks (eastern tip of the Purbeck
Hills) from Studland and there are lots of bridleways along the Purbeck
ridge.

From Lulworth you can pick up the South West Coast Path and head toward
Hardys Monument at Blackdown, see:
http://www.streetmap.co.uk/streetmap.dll?G2M?X=361160&Y=86919&A=Y&Z=3

It's more pleasant than exciting but has good views and is generally very
well signed so you can just about manage without a map.

Regards,
Pete

Some nice trails in the area, nothing very technical or demanding
though. Steer clear of the army ranges but otherwise just get yourself
the OS 25000 map of the area and chose your trails. I particularly like
the one from Studland out to Old Harry Rocks then along the ridge tops
to Corfe and beyond and then back along the cliff tops to Swanage and
Studland.

Hi,

There is a good off road ride from Studland through Remstone Forest joining
minor roads to Wareham, this takes you through woodland and across the great
heaths.
Wool to Stoborough through Bindon and Westholme is a fairly quiet backroad with
another good bit not far away from Creech to East Creech and then through a
woodland bridleway to Norden, this was good fun.

A useful guide book is a A Mountain Bike Guide to the Highways and Bridleways
of Dorset by Steve Wrann, Power Publications £4.95 availabable locally.

There is also a Purbeck cycle ways leaflet, have a good trip it is a great
area.

Andrew.

Thanks for all the replies.

Bike getting a service tomorrow then we'll be up them there hills!

Thanks for the pointers.
