I did some _alternating_ runs with the Tanjor lodrag.comlodrag.comOpen ↗ cargo trailer and Burley Lite
trailer, each containing an 80 lb Doberman (same one), more or less into a strong wind aptly
described by the weather bureau as ``breezy conditions.'' Flat terrain.
I tried to work equally hard in each run, and noted the GPS average speed for each trip (.72 miles)
Tanjor 11.9 mph Burley 11.4 mph Tanjor 12.7 mph Burley 12.2 mph Tanjor 13.3 mph Burley 12.1 mph
Tanjor 13.0 mph Burley 12.9 mph Tanjor 12.9 mph Burley 11.9 mph Tanjor 12.9 mph
Note there's one more Tajor run, and that centers the averages against a linear secular change in
wind conditions.
The averages are Tanjor 12.78 mph Burley 12.10 mph
One final run without dog or trailer, same work: 15.4 mph
The overall impression is of a bigger difference between trailers than the numbers suggest but
them's the numbers.
I'd summarize the subjective impression as you can run in one gear higher with the Tanjor, which I
guess matches the numbers; and seems like a big difference on the road.
