I think where the confusion lies is that you seppos(Yanks) have different sizing to most euro jerseys. For instance in many euro made jerseys I can wear a xl wheras I usually no bigger than a m in seppo made ones. Euro sizes tend to be much smaller for their less fast food based diet and generally smaller stature than seppos.
By the way the comment about its not the Jersey itself is completely ignorant. To any of cyclings faithfull they would never attempt to don or collect yellow if they had no right. Only wankers do. You need to accept the tradition and move on. Trust me what visitor is going to appreciate that hanging on your wall. Another ****** american with no understanding of euro traditions of a revered sport of cycling. Go back to your NFL store and buy some "winners" **** there. ******
So now NFL enthusiasts have been added to the "******" list.
...lovely...
So if some kid that is a USPS fan is given a USPS jersey by his parents on his birthday because he loves cycling and the players on that team, he shows up at a race proud to at least for a moment show who he supports, you'd call him a "******".
Maybe I got this all wrong. Does "******" in your vocabulary mean "a good sport, and good for the sport of cycling". "someone who isn't concerned about what he is wearing even though those around him would make fun of his clothing and the size of it".
Maybe "******" is a good thing.
Unless you are in the 4th grade and want to make fun of peoples clothes.
If I have a big mole on my cheek, would you make fun of that first, or my jersey? What about people in wheelchairs, they can't cycle at all, you must really poke fun at them if you saw them in a team jersey.
I think for the sake of sanity, how about, we let people wear whatever color they want, forget about the color of their skin, what they have or don't have, and let their riding and their personality speak for the quality of the rider, not what they wear...
I'm not even as interested in the speed of the riding at the event. I'm more interested in the quality of the human being delivering that speed, than his actual speed, although both can be great. A great rider doesn't have to be the fastest to be a winner.
