Tektro 200A and Cane Creek SCR brake levers

Are these levers, both made by Tektro, the same except for the
creatures molded into the hoods?

I am particularly interested in the design and materials of the
pivots. I've no objection to Tektro putting very inexpensive and
sloppy rivets into their less inexpensive OEM levers for others. But,
I'd like to know before buying whether they have the qualify of early
Shimano 600 and 105 levers and Gran Compes. Different shape those
oldies are, but they are nicely crafted.

Incredulous

They're great. I've put them on a bike I eventually sold and ride them
often on my fixie. Same lever, different hoods. the only shortcoming,
and this is laughable, is that the integrated QR button rattles when
braking over rough surfaces. Nails ya right up on the cross!

I've installed a couple sets of these (the 200A levers), and they are
high quality, and very comfortable under the hands. The integrated quick
release makes them suitable for using with older brake calipers such as
Weinmann or Dia-Compe centerpulls that don't have a quick-release built in.

That integrated QR is also good for when the caliper's QR isn't enough
to clear the tire b/c you're running 28 mm tires on a fairly narrow rim.
That little bit extra helps me get the wheel off without deflating.

Nothing exceptional about the pivot, it's a friction fit pin in the
ABS body. I've removed a blade easily with a punch when I wanted a
"dummy" lever, and they seemed to be up to the task. I also ride fire
roads on my Redline that has those levers on moustache bars--which
give the pivots a serious jarring. No problems.

It's a good lever, and another thing I forgot to mention, is that if
you're replacing a traditional aero lever, the Tektro throws you a
little further forward, as the body is rather large.

There's also a compact version:

I'm not sure if the body is actually smaller with those, the reach is
less, if that's an issue.
