The C+ forum has issues!

As the message will be gone by the end of the weekend, here it is,
preserved for posterity:

"Your attention please!
Over the past five years the Cycling Plus forum has made a tremendous
contribution to the British cycling community it is a fantastic and well
used source of knowledge, amusement, and good honest banter. That’s why
this is the busiest cycling website in Britain. We here at Cycling Plus
are well aware that this success is not down to us – we merely provide
the village hall you all bring the party. Occasionally though at even
the best parties some people forget that they need to act with some
consideration towards their fellow guests, at that point any diligent
host is going to turn up the lights and turn down the music and have a
few words. That’s what we are doing now...

These remarks are only really aimed at less than half a dozen of this
forum’s 23,000 members but it’s probably relevant for everyone to
familiarise themselves with our terms and conditions of use which can be
found here http://www.cyclingplus.co.uk/policy.asp

We know that all of the trouble on the C+ forum is caused by people
(trolls) who are probably not even cyclists, and who are certainly not
wanted here – we will be taking all practicable steps to deny these
people permanent access to this site, as hosts we decide who gets in to
this party, and who gets thrown out. Such behaviour (trolling) is
designed to annoy you and cause trouble for us, and sadly by their
inability to recognise this and ignore it one or two members have given
the trolls exactly what they want.

This message will be here until first thing on Monday morning when the
lights will go down and the party can resume as before..."

If only we could do this on Usenet to get rid of highracer et al...;-)

I suspect that termination of his blogger account will see him off for
a short while, but he will be back.
