the great glen way, scotland

hi im thinking about doing a mega 24hr trip along the great glen way, kayaking loch ness from inverness to fort augustus cycling from there to fort william then running ben nevis. the kayaking and running is fine but is there a cycle path that follows the footpath? i have heard that there was one but it is in disrepair. can anyone help any advice would be great, cheers stew
