I just finished reading this book about Mark Beaumont's round the world ride.

Its an OK read and sets up nicely for the bbc thing about his ride down the Americas

That's some mileage the boy has covered!

The Beeb (BBC2) did a series of late night documentaries on Beaumonts ride around the world.
Excellent series of programmes.

i've only read every second counts and it's not about the bike and heft on wheels and the masked rider as books that pertain to ridng but We Might as Well Win is next. thanks for that, i might not have known of it otherwise.

Not the first, nor the last. Here's few more 'round the worlders.

I'd also recommend Travels With Rosinante, by Bernard Magnouloux, if you can find a copy. I was lucky to find a remaindered copy for pennies about 16 years ago. It's a treasured book in my collection.
