"Mr Bush told ABC News that it could be right to compare Iraq's situation to the 1968 Tet offensive, widely seen as a key turning point in the conflict."

is the mistake beginning to dawn on Bush?
Yeah, like in both, politicians and media secured defeat from the jaws of victory.

Look at the history of the battles in Vietnam. Look how many were won by the North.

The Vietnamese certainly won the final one...and that's the only one that counts.

the tide has clearly turned....the Vietnam admission, the 'never stay the course' statement..

Bush is now officially on the defensive, he has admitted defeat in the war of righteousness..

this is the official U turn of the Bush admin...a few leaks to soften the blow later on down the line when mistakes will be admitted in full..

the ******* has ****ed up royally...and the cracks clearly visible...the build up of pressure from the public for the truth has taken it toll...

prepare yourself for the big admission....tail between the legs 'were sorry folks but we had the best interests of the American people at heart'....yeah right

who in america actually cares....really cares if a democracy is installed in Iraq?...cares enough to send thier children to die for the cause.....NONE.

none...and thats the way it should be....take care of your own interests and dont let you govt invade foreign lands under the veil of lies and deceit that they are doing it for you....democracy, in Iraq?....pahh..

why should you care if democracy is installed in this 'hell-hole'...what difference wil lit make to your life?....not a blind bit of difference...

Well said : we've been saying it since 2003 that this war was unethical and immoral and it was based on lies, utter lies.

My sympathy is reserved only for the Iraqi's.
