I had a look at the article on levi's "tarmac sl" on cyclingnews and noticed it was the cr1 that saunier duval use.

Similar concepts, but no way are they the same!

A lot of brands are going to very large wide down tubes at the bottom bracket, and to maintain torsional strength but aid verticle compliance the top tubes are getting wide and eliptical on a number of brands (reminds me of the new lemond and the older diamond back podium design)

Good ideas tend to catch on. CR1 was leading the pack for a few years, hence no need to change thier bikes in any visable way for the last few seasions

Not remotely the same. The head tube on the Scott CR1 is about 20-30mm longer for the same size, and they do not come in the same sizes.

hehehe...made you bite.

The specialized design looks so similar. Scott were obviously on a winner. If I had my choice I would get the scott for 2 reasons: originality and the freaky strength to weight figures they clock up in tests.
