I skimmed it for 2 mins. There's places in WA and QLD where the **** dropped out of the housing market after miners scaled back or dropped out completely. Gladstone for one. Broke my sister. Some place in WA had houses going for $600k. The boom stopped and they are now worthless. Anyway, u lot know this.

OK. Looked the moll up, hadn't read about it at all. There's suckers out there everywhere. A former chairman of asic reckoned the same people get caught up in these sort of scams over and over again. As long as there's greedy people out there, greedier and more ruthless people will take advantage of them.
Had a friend who has investment properties and was looking at WA about 7 years ago. Told her it would turn to **** eventually, it was an unsustainable bubble created by a unique set of circumstances that would change sooner rather than later. She wouldn't have it because some **** at a seminar said so. OK. Hope she didn't invest. The town she was looking at looked like that movie "wake in fright" and the market collapsed there when the local mine wound down.

Lions share of unsecured financing came from Asia with relatively few local investors - she clearly needed to leverage the relative lack of understanding of the social dynamics in Australia regarding FIFO not to mention the utter shithole that is WA from a residential investment standpoint.

Agreed. Suntour S1 Springs to mind - a weird chainstay mounted contraption that was somewhere out there between sheer genius and lunacy.
If Campagnolo made that cheapie gear out of carbon, it’d weigh almost nothing - instead they make rear mechs with that look weird with the ends made from some chewed up licorice that was hand formed by hammfisted children.
Still waiting for someone to invent a 30 speed full titanium hub gear that needs no maintenance and a shaft driven through the chainstay...
