I like the the Jan Ullrich pick. He's a wacky fellow. It makes a change from the 'pick old people' approach.

Yeah, good pick Ross. I was kinda thinking along the same lines... Johnny Depp and/or Keeff Richards. Maybe next year.

I had Johnny Depp in my top 3 then read that he'd (probably) made himself look ill to play a cancer patient; who knows. Keef will never die!

Yep. He's an absolute champion (hate using that word because it's overused and abused, but not in this case) but totally blew it yesterday.

Damn frustrating watching him blow it in that way, but the win was taken in such a great way.... hanging on and digging deep on that last lap was ace.

Pretty dull race for the most part I thought. The only amusement was counting the taches. Oh, and some of Robbie’s nuggets, like “You don’t want to be the bloke who does the least, you just don’t want to do more than the bloke doing the least.” Gold.

I watched some highlights before and have to agree with you there, what a great way to win!

My mate reckoned it was the hardest start to a nationals in the 7 or 8 he's done. Maybe it was boring to watch because everyone was on the rivet from the get go?

Especially if it's on the boards and involves either of the words "Points" or "Madison"...

Oh, well there you go... to me it looked like the main group was just letting the break go and were enjoying a training ride. Without actually being there (especially on the hill) it’s too easy to underestimate how hard they’re going.

I wasn't there either so dunno. If they looked like they were on a training ride, that probably explains why only 25 finished ;)

I’d rather break a leg than get a migraine. I feels ya Steve.
