The Thread about Nothing....

No but I like the low volume Aussie cars of the era. Manufacturers like JWF, Buckle, Ascort, Prad, KM, Bolwell, Elfin etc.

See that's why Ambry asked you first. OK so the first one is a Milano GT Mk 1? Pretty good first effort. Never heard of it, and I'm a car nut who thought he was informed about Aussie manufacturing. I know Bolwell and Elfin but I've got work to do on the others. Old or masquerading as such? ****ing gorgeous btw.
But the second one. Blue. What is it? Dunno why, but it looks metal, not 'glass, is it? So nice.

That's a true restoration concept. Aussie originals, small manufacturers, buy, restore, even upgrade, quelle horreur.
And Ambry, if he bought into that idea, would be the ideal candidate for such a project. Nerd levels of respect and research, but a pragmatist too. Make the old girl work effectively in the here and now.
I'd imagine that done right you'd always end up 1 of 1. **** you Ferrari.

I like this one. Noted pedophile supporter/ apologist Andrew Bolt
Mmm, it's exposed a serious problem with our archaic Westminster system. A student mentioned Pell to me on Tuesday eve as I was opening windows and turning the fans on, it was muggy but I didn't disrobe. I had no idea what he meant at the time but responded with a joke about praying.
I must admit that for mental health reasons I tend not to watch the news, I much prefer to read it, but I was surprised to read this morning that Pell had been charged and found guilty months ago, as opposed to just being called as a witness. If I was a conspiracist I would say the suppression orders were outlandish. As a believer in the democratic rule of law I was still surprised to find he was an actually charged defendant, rather than just the ****y overlord he'd previously seemed to be.
Australia has a lot of work to do to become a first world nation. We're like North Korea but with a drunken temper, and occasionally democratic leanings. And coal. So much coal. It's like it's the only thing that could possibly ever matter. Which of course is incorrect.

OK Cheetah, what car forums or clubs do you recommend? For the special Aussie stuff your pictures may or may not pertain to? I'm fine with PMs

Yes that's a Milano GT. Here is an Italia:

There are some really cool one off and low volume cars out there. Some can be picked up for very little, and some are more expensive but bargains compared to traditional Australian muscle cars.

I know someone who had one of these...

Goodbye Bolwell Nagari. And goodbye...

DPF Mike Willessee, only 6 months after his little mate Quentin Kenihan.

Apparently there is no video of his drunk performance on A Current Affair available on Youtube :-(

Wasn't it Mike willesee who rang a hostage taker while the cops were outside trying to negotiate to save people's lives?

Iljo was the star of the show in last nights Omloop Het Nieuwsblad presentation. :D

Wow, are they ever going to drive that ****ing thing? First episode was uploaded 17 Aug 2013. I'd normally have swapped cars 2-3 times since then :)

Yeah, it's pretty funny how long it's taking. But having watched every episode with utter relish, the way they build everything from scratch - and by everything, I mean jigs to make brackets, stands and posts to hold tools, a massive frame to swivel the car (motor driven swivel that is), and on and on - the delight for me is how they go about it rather than the end result. These guys are the makers' makers. Modification maestros. I'll be pretty sad if they ever finish it.
