Other than the me being a hero bit, not one word was exaggerated or embellished. It’s shit. The train station isn’t that bad, nor is the bus stop at midvalley.

FFS. If you sit there like a stale bottle of piss letting everyone swamp you you'll never find out.

McEwen often goes on about the momentary hesitation that nearly always happens before the sprint opens up. My dad used to HAMMER it in to me when I was a kid. Even nowadays with 3-4 lead out trains, nine times out of ten the momentary hesitation is still there. The only team I can really think of who would regularly eliminate it were HTC leading out Cavendish.

Wout Van Aert anticipated the pause perfectly. Michael Matthews is oblivious to its existence, even when he is the cause of it like he was in the finish yesterday.

It was a stage of dumb moves.... not contesting the intermediate sprint which would have given him 6 points and then lolling in the queue like a crash test dummy.... ffs, how many riders does he want for a leadout?

And as for those dummies caught napping when the split opened up... wake the fuck up!

That said, I reckon it's been a really lively Tour.

King dummy Porte. Once a triathlete, always a triathlete. How many times has he been caught out like this? He said he didn't have the horsepower to make the split. Nor did 35 spuds who managed to make the lead group. Instead they rode at the front and got in the front echelon that way. Ewen reckoned he didn't even know it had split at first and said it wasn't that hard. That's because he was up the front. McEwen was talking about potential cross winds with 100km to go.....

    Indeed. Wasn't alone on that.

Thomas de Ghent's win was a cracker.

And the way the French boys have been smashing it has been entertaining. Sagan is amazing. Almost take his prowess for granted. Such a talent.

Poor George Bennett got fucked over. Some dick called him back to the car for bottles when there was no need for a bidon run. Almost comical watching him shelling bisons trying to sprint back on when EF went ballistic
