I also read your Lord of the Flies link this morning, serendipitously, before teaching my 1st year apprentice class again, I can't call them muppets ever again with a clear conscience. They've been superstars, but I gave them subtler compliments than that, whilst pushing their internet skills to include not just Team membership, but proper uploading skills too. But it was important to tell them that I appreciated their efforts and goodwill, truthfully.

In fact, reading what I've just typed, I'm gonna track down and email the weird bugger, and try to become his Australian distributor. I've nothing to lose, but something to gain, even if the minimalist style is not really my thing. I reckon I could sell it. To the increasingly high proportion of Aussies who are NOT she'll be right types. And I'm now TAF**SW trained like a Pavlovian dog, to respond to internet communication, which even just a few months ago, was complete anathema. I just might be able to fulfill his lofty ideals (with a few Filipinos to help with the phone calls and emails).

Nice one. Without any reason I imagine we've about ten years between our ages. I remember what I was like at 37yo, I was a ****ing nutbar, heavy drinking musician, which is an excuse for many things short of murder, perhaps even ADHD moment to moment, perhaps even a social human. But as I've gotten older, read old, I've gotten far more comfortable with antisocialism.
I do ask about and respect the lad's answers as to how their weekend's were. Which are by definition, very different to my own. But we're a Team.
