There’s a fair bit of fail going on there.

2020 was a golden year for DP. After a promising start this year is more a golden year for DPF

Die Another Day has to be the worst Bond movie. Fuck me it is shit. Even if Hailie Berry had of got her tits out it would still be shit, and they are a cracking set of tits.

Lol at cyclingnews introducing a paid subscription service to view their articles.

I don’t need it. I can just sign up to receive manufacturer, team and UCI press releases just like they do and read their articles from the source.

Wilbur Smith. I thought he died years ago. Airport bookstores closed tomorrow in a day of mourning.

It always comes in threes. Who is next?

I always reckoned with David Gulpilil, unless you were naked Jenny Agutter, it didn’t matter who he was acting with in a scene he was the one you watched. Deadset, if he was in a scene with Al Pacino or Jack Nicholson going full unhinged scenery chewing, or Steve McQueen doing all his little distracting tricks, Gulpilil would still have found a way to draw your eye.

I don't think we ever saw any of Harry Enfield's work here in Australia. Shame...

Anyone a fan of the latest Bond movie? I saw it last week and thought it was pretty good.

And who is gunna be the next Bond? My 1st vote goes to Idris Elba, and 2nd to Tom Hardy, but I think they're probably both too famous for the role. I suspect we'll see someone we don't know so well, which is kind of a tradition with new 007s.

Two of the best scifi books I read when I was a kid are on the screen at the moment. I'm busting to see Dune which comes to the sticks later this month.

I've watched the first season of Foundation on Apple, but have mixed feelings about it. It's visually gorgeous, but meh... I think they've tried to turn it into a romance so it has a wider appeal than it otherwise might have. I'll reserve my judgment until the next season arrives.

And looking back on this year, my two favourite series were:

Ted Lasso is the best Four-Weddings-And-A-Funeral type feel-good show since Four Weddings And A Funeral.

The other was a sleeper I stumbled across on Netflix called Norsemen.

I saw it. Didn’t dislike it, but didn’t necessarily like it either. Can’t put my finger on it really. Script maybe a bit disjointed, some of the hokey dialogue jarred with me, it being nearly 3 fucking hours.
