No, he actually had 'the call' at about 1/3 of the ride. But i was tipping that the pillars would be let fly on one of the straight sections on the way home.
Who did get smashed was p.shaw and climbo (that's right isn't it boys, my memory is getting worse by the second) when bbp decided that he need not call a bloody big pothole in the road. I was about 20 back by that stage (SS, yeah that's right, i'm blaming the bike:D ) all i hear is *bang* "Ahh fuck me!" Cracked me up (don't tell them that).
Needless to say, bbp was pulling for the next 4 k into town :)

Heyo, I'm back from the big sinus headache inducing environment AKA the Royal Womens.

At 10pm last night and after a long 19 hour labour we had a little (or not) baby boy - Gilby.

Whoever guessed closest to 9lbs wins a prize, coz that's how big the little blighter is, so a future Tour victory is looking unlikely at this stage.

Ok, I've gone back a coupla pages and the numbers are as follows.....
Lotek 3.1795 (which is about 7lbs)
    62vette 7lbs 7oz
    Wilchemy and Wattsy 8lbs 6oz
    bbp 8lbs 7oz
    Pshaw 8lbs 8oz
    Matagi 9lbs 4oz

There are 16 oz to a lb, so I'll leave you to work out who guessed closest. :D

And what's with all the purile wordcraft relating to me? Surely Paul (I haven't been on the bike for ever) Shaw is far more deserving. :D

And what is it with Thornton? Every time I've ridden through that grubby little area of NSW in the last 18 months I've managed to puncture. Not once or twice: EVERY farging time!! Today was a classic. I ride 120kays across windswept country roads and parts of Newcastle only to puncture at Thornton just 8km from the end of my ride.
