Oddly enough, I'm finding it hard to concentrate on reading anything for more than a few minutes at the moment. Which is really interesting because I am an avid reader and it is my favourite form of relaxation. I suspect it's a post-anaesthetic effect and will gradually wear off.

My father-in-law would have taken the "bottle of whiskey and ball of string" approach...

I went to a dentist a few years ago.After he'd examined my choppers,i asked "What's the verdict?"
He asked me if I was in a health fund I told him I was,but I had just joined and still had to wait a couple of months to be eligible for dental care.
He steered me towards the window of the surgery and pointed to an old Ford Laser.
"See that old laser?'
"Yep"
"It's mine,'he said,"and between your teeth,my undoubted professional skill and all the post-dated bills to your generous health fund,that will be a BMW this time next year."
And almost to the day...it was.

Oh and apropos of nuthin',his dental nurse had great knockers which she used to rub up against me (and probably every other male patient),but I wasn't complaining.

I think pro-team riders can't ride U23 in Worlds.

I read somewhere that Haussler didn't recover from his injury in time.
