ROFLMAO. That's ****ing brilliant.

Anyone heard from Thunder recently? I wouldnt mind touching base with him seeing if he would get involved. I miss his banter and beside myself he's the only other one in the industry proper I think.

Yeh he's about.

But getting a hold of him. bah, no deal!

BTW- The Pedal File is a clear winner. Add in Jono L and Vadar preferences and its a clear swing to The Pedal File

+1

Firstly, if you haven't yet, please buy the last albums from Johnny Cash before he died, where he recorded his favourite songs. They're special moments all.

Secondly, opinions? In order?

CASH owns it.

I love the fact when it came time to die he wasnt afraid to admit he wasnt ready. He desperately wanted to be alive. It was as if his final bodies of work were an audition for the right to live on. He pours himself into it. Great stuff.

Ambo do you think 'apedalfile' is a bit too creepy? I think its **** funny and golden but only thing that worries me is some people might not get the humour and avoid being interviewed because 'it all seems a bit creepy'....also it feels a bit more like a 'blog' title than a serious 'publication'. I still think its hilariously brilleont.

People tend to get all uptight about things like kiddie fiddling, funnily enough. Personally, I reckon we should chuck an abo joke, a spastic joke and a 9/11 joke inthere and go for a quadrella

lol

The other idea I had was to take the name 'Mockridge'. I know it sounds a little weird to take someones actual name but the word Mockridge does = road cycling (and track). It conveys a stoic conservative feel even though the content would be very open, upfront and hard hitting. A bit like how he rode - respectfully but brutally, It would need the family approval I imagine and also would mean we couldnt drop the fcuk sh1t p1ss as it would be disrespectful to the name. There are some synergies I could extrapolate on but I'm a bit tired now. Maybe using his name is a bit 'rude'?

I guess it's more of a case of selective email return...

Maybe you should go out and have a cold frosty brew with him and chat a while when you have the chance.

Whilst I agree The Pedal File is quite clever, I don't think using it would be in the best taste.

Putting a bit of a twist on one of beebers suggestions ..... how about Cyclopath? Or Cyclopatter?

The Feed Zone?

Musette?

Mockridge's wife was apparently bitter about the sport for the rest of her life after his death. I wouldn't even ask.

Chevron Australia 2010 Perth International Track Grand Prix is on SBS today at 5pm WST (or so I am told - I'm over in Singapore, so I won't see it anyway). My family tell me it was a great carnie, so watch it if you can / want / are forced to (eg Clockwork Orange).

Thanks Tagsi great ideas. The name does need to be obscure enough to be unique so as to obtain copyright/web domain as well. Its quite tricky!

Something Euro.

Kermesse would be a good name.

Wielertrophy

Wielerrennen

Godverdome

Kledhammer

TANBergen

GPM (Gran Premio Montagne)
