That's sometimes a reasonable thing to expect, although admittedly not at
this time of year. Who's to say who is unprepared, anyway, at least without
knowing what they might be carrying with them out of sight. "Jeans and
trainer" - I wear jeans, never had a problem with them, just chuck the
overtrousers on when it starts raining (I don't wear trainers, though). The
only time jeans have been a problem is when I used them as an excuse not to
wade down waist-deep water underground
Some people put far too much emphasis on equipment.
