In the process of building another bike and have an extra williams 30 lying around..thinking about mixing it up with a williams 19 for the front to get an even lighter combo. Reason for the mix is the 19's have a weight limit of 170 lbs and I weigh btwn 170-176 throughout the season.
I have no idea how the manufacturers 'stress model' their equipment...wheel could be mounted on a 25 lb steelie or a 15 lb CF which would effectively change the limit. Also don't have any idea on how an overstress manifests itself (taco on a pothole during descent? ouch!)...wonder what my risks are using this mixed bag and if the benefit of a couple hundred grams is worth the 'downside'. Thx!
