I was wondering if anyone has this problem. I am a 27 year old female at 5ft 100 lbs. I've decided to add running to my exercise routine as I really only do yoga. But I've had this one problem ever since I was a kid. The back of my throat and top of my chest really stings when I run. Does anyone know what this could be and will it subside as I get into shape? Otherwise, I'm very healthy.

My best-guess, long-distance diagnosis from a non-doctor would be acid reflux. If this may be applicable, you might consider dietary changes and/or one of the OTC drugs. I had a similar problem and it only occured during running and cycling. For me, it is simply a matter of not eating solid food an hour before running.
Of course, to be safe, you should see a doctor and they can give much better diagnosis and advice, and can rule out anything more dangerous.
I used to have some bad acid reflux. And it would get worse when I ran. So bad I would have to stop running and almost puke. So I started taking prilosec. It works for me if I remember to take it. But you should see a doctor also, because I am not one either.
