Tiagra triple better Q than 105 & Ultegra?

Came across something really perplexing while checking out cranks today. On the Harris site it says that Tiagra triple cranks take a "113 mm UN53" bottom bracket, while the 105 & Ultegra triples take an "Octalink V1 Splined Bottom Bracket 118 mm". Does this mean that the Tiagra cranks are 5mm narrower & may be better for people like me who have dodgy knees???

the un53 is a square taper and the octalink is splined. i don't think that you can compare the relative length of the two to make any meaningful q comparison. on both setups, the chain rings should be in the same place relative to the centerline of your bike. the makeup of the different cranks may affect q though.
