Tips on cycling in Australia or N Zealand in Dec

Hi, I'm planning on taking a few weeks off to do some cycling in either Australia or N Zealand. I'd appreciate any tips or suggestions as this will be my first time to Australia or N. Zealand. If you know of any good races or rides in December I'd be interested in knowing of these too.

Hi there, what part of Australia are you heading to? Melbourne has a pretty decent cycling scene especially over summer.

Hi Jimmy I am planning on cycling on the East Coast definitely Melbourne, Sydney but I will be there for a few weeks so could probably go further up north. Do you have the names of cycling clubs, bike shops or know of any races/rides during that time? Are you from Australia? Thanks! Shireen
