  1. I just purchased a Specialized Sequoia road bike. The bike came equipped with 700x25 tires, which will be good for road cycling. I’m also going to use the bike for touring and some rails to trails. Would I be able to install 700x35 tires for this type of riding?

    Thank you
    Frank

Not likely. The upper limit for most road bikes with standard calipers as about 28mm.

I believe Specialized designed the Sequoia with larger calipers to accept fenders and/or bigger tires. Take a look to see how much clearance you have.
