What are you going to do?Stop riding if someone tells you they aren't. FWIW, there are all kinds of kevlar belted tires,some are bullet proof like the armadillos,and some are virtually worthless.

the only time i will stop riding is when i'm dead in a coffin. i just was curious about them. i'm riding it now & i have a patch kit & co2 inflator on board, so if i get a flat, i can fit it. i just never seen so much busted glass around here lately. i gotten so many flats with the road bike, & now i'm paranoid. the armadillos on the road bike so far are working out fine, & i hope the mountain bike tires have some kind of belts to protect against flats like the armadillos, but they are knobby, so right there i got some flat resistance.....

I used an inexpensive road tire of theirs years ago, and it wasn't very good. I don't know what progress they may have made, but you don't hear them being mentioned in the same breath as Hutchinson, Continental, Michelin etc.
