delicious.
As the dish neared completion, I uncorked a bottle of wine and poured
a glass for each of us. At 7 p.m. here in Cow Hill, two people whose
lives were touched by Bob Pastorio raised their glasses and called his
name.
He deserved better wine.
Alas, the wine SO and I toasted him with was rather one-dimensional.
However, we wished him bon appetit and happy trails.
I took a moment out at 7 pm from my food preparation (whatever possessed
me to boil four dozen eggs for devilled eggs?) to raise a brewski on high.
I also broke into the Easter candy early. Except for our Alaska (do we
have any?) and Hawaiian RFC'ers, Pacific Time is the last to check in -
unless the Aussies want to do it again!!
I'll probably cry tomorrow, and pull myself together in time to get a few
hundred people caffienated and festively fed after Easter service.
Last I checked in another group he was in, a couple of his pet kooks were
still foaming away about him. Bob is still kickin' ass from the beyond.
I'm sure he's having a GOOD laugh about it. I know I am!
(no "But seriously" about it!)
