Top-swing vs. standard XTR front derailleur

Are there any technical advantages, compatibility issues or other questions
that should be considered when choosing between a top-swing (FD-M960) and a
standard (FD-M961) front derailleur? (except that top-swing is 18 g lighter)

Not really. On some suspension frames, swingarm pivot placement
precludes placing a bottom-swing front derailleur. Top swing is the
only way to go then.
