Wow.

So, which way is it going to go? With no Lance to chase through the
state, will Disco be the only pro team to make a serious showing? Will
the UCI let what I bet is a deep desire to put a ProTour race in North
America overcome the fact that Georgia probably isn't quite up to Euro
standards of support, at least in non-Lance years?

And, is this just going to annoy the SFGP organizers, or what?

My theory is all of the above, though the real problem with the SFGP
would seem to be that there's too many haters, and not enough fans and
sponsors, while everyone in Georgia loves the TdG, but that doesn't mean
they'll show up unless Lance promises to wave from the lead official's
car the whole route.
