So you want to feel what its like to wear the yellow jersey?
Be the King of the Mountains?

Come along to the Tour de Greenwich on Sunday 25th.
The plan is to have a fun day out, and go out for a cycle too.
Meet at 10am at the Cutty Sark in Greenwich.

I'm planning a mechanics race around the Cutty Sark.
A slow race at the Millenium Dome, a three legged race,
a Le Mans style start.
Throw in bicycle football if I can figure out some rules,
and anything else I can think of.
Lunchtime cycling 'pub quiz'.

Some prizes for the winning team, but I can't promise kisses
from those Credit Lyonnaise ladies.

At 3pm we'll go to the Kings of Pain exhibition in Brick Lane (*)
to watch the finish of the Tour on the big screen.
They have vintage bikes, jerseys, caps, memorabilia and a display
about the Tour greats.

The more people come along, the better it'll be.
Come along at 3pm if you can't make it earlier - great to have a
good bunch of people to watch the tour highlights.

(*) Go to the old Truman Brewery, about half-way up. Its in
a courtyard at the rear. Or go in off Hanbury Street.

Hope the day goes really well, John.

Cheers, helen s

Damn. Sounds like a lot of fun. Unfortunately, I don't live in the Isle of
Dogs any more.
