The final road stage of the Tour of Missouri was a microcosm of U.S. cycling. Slipstream-Chipotle's Danny Pate jumped from a breakaway with about 1 1/2 miles to go, racing to a solo victory in Stage 5, from Jefferson City to St. Charles.
