Any recommendations on luggage carrying serious touring bikes anyone? The American forums talk about the Surly Long Haul Trucker a lot which is available in this country. But I was also wondering if anyone has experience of Fahrrad Manufaktur bicycles, in particular their tourer bikefix.co.ukb fahrrad.htmlOpen ↗. Any other recommendations welcome

Hi there, i assume you're in the UK (?) as your post is written in English.
I've no experience of the ones you mention but the Dawes ( http://www.dawescycles.com ) 'Galaxy' is a time-served quality touring bike, the Edinburgh Cycles ( http://www.edinburgh-bicycle.co.uk/ ) 'Country' and 'Cosmos' are said to be good value as well, but its worth going to a few bike shops and having a good look around as there are plenty more to choose from.
