I'm planing to get the Garmin 60c gps with a handlebar attachment. Does anyone have any pros & cons about the gps units? And does anybody use one while touring?

Ive got a e trex which I take with me into China frequently.Its basic but quite good for finding your way back to a waypoint.I dont have detailed maps so I cant pinpoint my position.Eats batteries quickly
