  1. Just back from holiday and with a few hours spare this
    morning, I took the 20 minute drive to Glen Lednock Dam.
    The path along the Lochside is a bit eroded here and there
    but no problem dropping on to the shore when required.
    Walked along to the sheep fold then took a North bearing to
    the summit. Came out on the ridge in heavy rain and low
    cloud and then had some minor difficulty finding the trig
    point. Better still 3 to 4 minutes after leaving the trig
    point on my descent I found "another" trig point remarkably
    similar to the first ! Amazing that you can walk in a
    circle and not realise it !. Taking a bearing this time I
    headed back South and traversed to come out half way along
    the Lock track. Back at the car 3 hours after leaving
    having lost some time messing about in the mist. Very wet
    the whole morning and I walked with full waterproofs and
    over-trousers on for about the first time this year, and
    this is the May holiday weekend !
