If you are not doing anything this Saturday or Sunday and would like to see some of the world's best
track cyclists you could do worse than make the trip out to Dunc Gray Velodrome at Bass Hill for the
UCI track world cup.

I went last night and was struck with the quality of the racing and the lack of people - had seats
right on the rail and chatted to a French champ called Marion Clignet while she waiting for her
start in the final of the women's points race (she won the silver). Saw Shane Kelly win his
umpteenth medal in the kilo.

On tonight's program from 6 pm are the men's teams pursuit, the women's 500m time trial, men's
points race, women's keirin, mens sprint.

Tomorrow afternoon at 2pm are the team sprints. scratch races, the madison (mad but awe inspiring)
- don't understand why so poorly promoted but there were heaps of unoccupied seats last night
(half empty).

Track racing is a combination of cycling and theatre - there are some serious egos and very fit
actrors riding on that track.

Way better than tv or a movie ! - if you are interested details at -
