Nup, same lens - I don't quite have the $3k required for
the 70-200mm f2.8... yet - but I am getting better with the flash
and post-processing.

Yeah, it wasn't by choice, security were telling people along the "fence" to "move along please". I actually think that by moving around more than I usually do, the variety of shots
made it better (and way more fun to shoot).

Guys in the office said the same thing :)

I really like the ones with Anna and the flag (she looked roight
at me!) and the Madison boys (so did they!) especially the one with the other guys camera in the bottom left of shot.

I think the better lighting at this event has contributed to
the better looking shots. I could not believe how much light
was on the track for this event. Usually on this track I
would ride in clear lenses because yellows I found to be a
little on the dark side. (Note: CSV rules do not allow
riders to wear dark lenses on indoor tracks). On saturday
night when I was there I noticed that many riders were using
dark lenses (which must be allowed under UCI rules) so it
must have been pretty bright down at track level.

This venue costs a lot to hire so the local promoters,
Cyclists International, don't usually go for things like
turning the airconditioning on, or opening up the whole
stands on both sides for spectators unless there is demand.
It was good to see the VA showing off it's facilities to the
fullest during these Championships.

I didn't want Les Murray (or security) leaping off his chair at me mid-broadcast to protect the honour of his fellow commentator :)
