You got it right. Alfa-Lum is still around... http://www.alfalum.com/. They are actually not Italian, but from San Marino. After stopping with men's pro cycling they then moved into women's cycling... http://www.bikenews.it/bikewoman/squadre/alfa-lum/alfa-lum.htmwolfix said:There was an Italian team back in the early 90's that was a company that was involved in aluminum building products.. Alfa-Alum or something .....I can't quite remember it ......But I always thought having one of those jerseys would be neat because at that time I was involved in aluminum building products..... I can't quite remember the name but they had a great Italian rider at the time.....

And Liberty is actually a US insurance company.

You would think one of the major cycling site would have this information, maybe they do but it's not obvious.wolfix said:I'm curious to know what the tradenames/sponsors stand for in regards of products they sell of the professional teams in Europe. My family's business was one of the 1st business's to import PVC into the US to be used for windows and doors. I will have to get one of their jerseys.Dimos said:Selle Italia is known to everyone and diquegiovanni is manufacturing doors and windows from PVC...

JohnO said:Liberty Seguros is based in Spain, but it is owned by Liberty Mutual, a US insurance company. I wondered why the statue of liberty was their symbol, until I found that out. Got one of their jerseys, it's a pretty shade of blue.
