Traditional Best Time To Buy?

Hi,

This is not a tech question, but since guys who work for bicycle shops read this forum, I thought to
ask it here.

When's the traditional time in bicycle retailing where one can find sales on bicycles? My fiancee is
looking to get her first entry-level road bike. She thinks after-Christmas might be good, I'm
thinking that right about now might be better.

Dear Abby, who's right? Her or me? Or neither?

I bought my latest bike, a 2002 Cannondale, in mid October. It was about 25% less than the price
during the summer. This is in Massachusetts.
