I've been riding a Trek 930 MTB for the last 15 years and wish to purchase my first road bike. My interests include riding paved trails, country roads, and the occasional charity event.
I rode several different road bikes this last weekend (Sp. Dolce, Trek 1500, and Performances Razza 4.0) and found the Specialist Sequoia Elite to be the most comfortable.
Has anyone had experience riding this bike before? It's a pricey bike, discounted at $990 and I hate to spend the money if it's considered a "hybrid" road bike. Do the Dolce's and Trek 1500 type bikes get more comfortable the more you ride them? I've read posts where people dislike the wide, comfy seats with shock absorbers as they become uncomfortable on long rides.
