I'm a new road biker and wondered what average MPH I should train at on rolling/ hilly terrain? My guess is about 15 mph. Or should I use caddence? I know for cario I should be in my training range based on heart rate. Any rough guidelines?

you got it....worry more about HR and hours than distance and time. Quality time in your target HR zones are how you improve performance.

As above, definately HR.

However, once you have HR under control, next focus on moving to a less drastic shift in cadence. You legs will appreciate it.
