Goal: Avalon 50 mile January 14.

Sun: 0 Had virus last week, taking no chances...

Mon: 8 easy, felt 9/10.

Tue: 10.5 speed. 40 min w/u, 5 x 3:00, easy back. Typical first speed
workout, leg dept. way behind the wind dept.

Wed: 8 easy, felt 6/10.

Thu: 10.5 @ 146, 81% max hr. Fun, felt good all the way.

Fri: 4.5 easy, felt great, overslept, so cut it short.

Sat: 32 "easy" ;-) in Santa Monica mtns in 5:08. 4460' climb, 130 avg hr.
The first 15 miles were easy, the next 12 moderate, last 3 just wanted to
get this thing in the bag. Negative split. All up or down. 135-150 on
climbs, 115-125 on descents. 54 and overcast. Made sure I had enough to
run up all hills comfortably. Tired at the end, but didn't fade, legs felt
good. Hopefully, I'll be fully charged for my Tuesday speed workout.

Friday is an evil Irish invention, intended to corrupt our youth.
Hence it is now banned in america.

yabut both runs that day were way slow, and I had that 9:30-ish trot the day
before. I was pretty recovered by the Tuesday.

Some of us need to run lots and lots just to be mediocre. I hope one day to
be half as fast as you are, on twice your mileage :)
