I've been reading here for a few weeks now... I want to kow if the hookworm would be lighter and more suitable then a gazz for a manmade trials scenario. Appreciate all inputs. Light 125lbs ,learning trials on a nimbus muni. Gapping, dropping, hopping, level 3 rider.
The Hookworm is very street. Itdoesnt have great grip even for urban Trials...Unfortunately i cannoth think of a good light 24" tire for Trials but im sure someone who comes along will...My experiences with the Hookworm are to run at high pressure for Street riding or cruising.
I haven't actually used this tire, but I know that they make the dyno fireball 24" by 3" tire. I know kris holm uses it, but thats about all.
What about me? I use it 2. Silly mornish forgot me :p Fine urban trial tire. The tire must have a higher presure then the Gazz or Wildlife but you will get used to it. The high presure will make your hopping techniek beter. When you switch back to a Gazz or so you will hop higher than on the Fireball. But it's a FINE urban tire. Try it out and you will see.
I use a Fireball on my street muni. - It's a real smooth ride and it's large... probably about the size of a gazz cause it makes my duro 24x3 seem small.
- The upside is the smoothness and the look. - The downside is that it has really thin sidewalls which makes it a challenge to ride when on a slight camber as it tries to pull to either side. It doesn't have the same "bounce" as my duro either.
