I awoke this morning and decided I'd spend the first day of my 2 weeks
holiday riding my new bike (Claud Butler Cape Wrath bought on the 14th
August)
Didn't want to go to far, so I decided I'll go for a quick blast around
Devilla Forest

Arrived at the forest car park at 10:28am (according to my gps) and it
was raining quite heavily.
Got the bike out of the car and headed out following the purple route.
Had to stop once to adjust the rear brake. Followed the purple route
until I got to the south shore of Peppermill Dam.
I stopped to admire the view, then I headed for the old Mausoleum.

The photography session finished, I headed back to cycle along the north
side of Peppermill Dam, where I found a bit to rest and have some lunch
and take some more photos:

Lunch finished, I decided that I would head back and visit the sand
quarry.
Had to cycle along a very muddy and narrow track (which was fun!) Only
had once case of "ooops I don't have enough speed to make it through the
mud I'm falling over" which resulted in my stepping off into a shoe full
of mud!
Arrived at the Sand quarry, although I wasn't able to see anything.
So I took a picture of my bike:

And then I spotted something very fishy...

A small amount of fish right next to the track.. I really did wonder how
they got there.
Anyway, time was getting on and I was getting sore and tired, so I packed
my camera away, and headed back for the car, arriving at 1:37pm
Total trip time just over 3 hours, total distance 16.7km according to gps
track log.
All in all a good (muddy!) ride on my bike.
