my local bike shop sells giant bikes, so im looking at the defy 3.5 or 3 2010 models, but then the new models are out now.

the new defy 3 looks better in white but he said its the same as the last years model but more expensive.
he only has the defy 2 in my size frame left for £725 a little more than i wanted to spend, and he has the brand new defy 3 in my size for £595 and said he will throw in pannier bags and pannier rack with it which is what i want.
i could buy the defy 3 2010 model online without the extras for about £525

my question is the 2011 model any good compared to the 2010 defy 3 model.

I did not know Giant allows on-line sales (make sure it's legit)... the Defy is a good bike, you can't go wrong with any of them, pick the one YOU like and fits the best and meets your budget. I suggest getting the one with the best components you can afford, even if you stretch a little OR you'll be upgrading very soon...

i got the defy 3...............im happy with it couldnt afford the defy 2 as its like £725 i like the shimano 2300 gears on the defy 3 and the brakes but maybe thats because i havnt ever had a road bike before, i think its a perfect beginner bike if you have never had one before. and in the end i got it for around £430 all in all so i got a really good deal.
