  1. This may not get the most accurate answers not being able to visually see me but here goes. I have a shoulder width of 21" or 53.3 centimeters. Torso is 24" (61cm) from waist line to chin. From underarm to wrist i'm 20" (50.8 cent). I am building a time trial bike using the Triathlon version of the Colnago Dream which has an exactly 54cm top tube and it will have a 120 or 130 cm Look carbon stem on it. I am going to use the Vision base bar with Vision Carbon Pro bars. I would like to know if anyone here has experience with what size base bar and which length clip ons to use for my specs stated?

    Any help appreciated,

    Cheers,
    Scott

Tough question because bar size depends a lot on rider preference. In general choose a base bar width similar to what you ride on the road. If you plan to race flat, non-technical courses, a narrower base bar width is more aero, but for climbing and courses with losts of turns, a wider base bar generally gives better handling.

As far as extension length goes, that really depends on how stretched out you like to be and where you want your armrests. Unfortunately, Vision bars don't have adjustable length (except for their race bend which you trim to desired length).

Try posing your question on the slowtwitch.com forum. You will certainly get some opinions--one of which will be to go to a "professional fitter". The slowtwitch website also has a lot of information about Tri bike fit-which may be a bit different than road TT fit for many riders.
